The Pill Bottle

This picture has an interesting story behind it.

When I was about to move to London my mother bought me this bottle of Vitamin C pills. She told me I should take one every morning so that I wouldn't catch a cold.

At the very beginning when I had recently moved I wasn't as happy as I am now, I felt lonely and out of place, I missed my family and friends so I told myself I didn't have to put up with that and I gave myself a deadline: "As soon as I finish the whole bottle I'll come back to Barcelona".
As you can see from the picture, the pill bottle contains 90 tablets so If I had taken a pill everyday I would have finished the bottle for Christmas time.
At the beginning I started taking one pill a day enthusiastically, it was like a race against time, like: "Ok, one day less".

But, suddenly, I don't remember when, I stopped taking these pills. I hadn't even finished 1/3 of the bottle when I realised that I actually didn't want to finish the bottle because I didn't want to come back and I started forgetting to take the pills by chance.

And it will remain like that, I've decided to leave one pill in the bottle and keep it in my night stand as a symbol. Now every time I see the bottle I remember my first two weeks here and it reminds me how happy I am now.

So, what's the moral of the story? Never ever give up guys!! Sometimes life can be really hard but tomorrow will be always better. Don't let go, never give up. It's such a wonderful life...
